Yakiniku Beef Bowl



Ingredients:
1 pack shabu shabu beef (about 500g), cut into smaller pieces
Japanese mayo (kewpie)

Marinade for meat:

  • 1/3C  soy sauce
  • 3 tbsp sugar
  • 3 tbsp sesame seed oil
  • 1 scallion chopped
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 11/2 tsp sake/ rice wine
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper 

Serving sauce:
  • 1/4C soy sauce 
  • 1/4C sake/ white wine
  • 4 tbsp mirin
  • 2 tbsp sugar
Method:
Turn everything onto a frying pan
Fry until meat is cooked and marinade dries up
Serve over rice.
Drizzle sauce over meat
Top with a little Kewpie mayo
